Jauh, an Indonesian term for the word 'far away'

 

It is a project that attempts to investigate the emotions of being far away from home. Throughout the documentation of this project, the artist encountered a series of overwhelming emotions, one being adulting in a foreign land without anyone. And tries to puzzle out his feelings through images and strings of words.

This series was produced during the Shooting Home Youth Awards, an open call for young photographers aged 15-23, to strengthen their portfolio and photography ambitions. Selected participants were mentored by well known artist mentors and will be giving an artist talk and showcasing their works in Objectifs at the end of this program.
