Fragments

A series responding to Guignard’s Lullaby in Fracktown, a writing about
the relationship between a mother and her child, foreseeing a conceivably
despondent future on account of their circumstances. Browsing through
her writing, I started to contemplate the profound connection between
both individuals as they overcome the austere way of life.
Using the interplay of images and text, I attempt to visualize and
document the emotions portrayed underneath the layers of various
perspectives throughout the writing, situating myself in between the
poignant relationship of both individuals. Focusing on its semiotics, the
sentimental abstrusity of fond remembrance as if they were fragments.
And how it all was in the brink of uncertainty.
